Constitutional objectives
The charitable purposes of the SCIO are: To advance heritage, culture and the arts by preserving and promoting the life, achievements and legacy of John Clark. To advance education by increasing public understanding of John Clark's contribution to Scottish football and the sporting heritage of Chapelhall, as well as by encouraging public participation in sport. In furtherance of these purposes we will: Promote and provide opportunities for people within Chapelhall and the surrounding areas to participate in football and other sporting activities, regardless of their financial circumstances or background. Work in partnership with local schools and community organisations to support sports development and increase participation in sport, including through funding, equipment, coaching and organised activities. Advance public appreciation of the life, achievements and legacy of John Clark through the preservation and promotion of his heritage, including the establishment and maintenance of a publicly accessible memorial in Chapelhall.
