Reported terms and dispute process
  1. Standard payment terms

At this time, we do not have standard payment terms across our business. There is a wide range of payment terms offered by, and negotiated with, our suppliers. Our payment hubs, hosted on multiple legacy systems, operate either weekly or fortnightly payment runs. We are in the process of standardising to 19 different payment terms and implementing these across our business.

  2. Other payment-term information

The date of receipt of supplier invoices is not recorded. Reported statistics are calculated from the date of invoice. Supplier receipts of payment dates are unknown. For reporting purposes, receipts of payment dates are estimates.

Within our procurement programme, our intention is to introduce best practices and optimise to a suite of standard payment terms across the business.

  3. Dispute resolution process

Payment disputes are typically initially referred to the finance function, who will try to resolve them by agreement through discussion with the supplier. If resolution cannot be reached within a reasonable period, or technical in nature, the matter will typically be escalated to the procurement function, who will try to reach resolution by agreement through further discussion with the supplier. As necessary, appropriate further dispute resolution mechanisms provided for in the contract will be used (i.e. reference to mediation, arbitration or litigation).

Grievance mechanisms

Other monitoring

We also monitor working conditions and overall performance by doing risk assessments and regular checks such as EcoVadis, EcoVadis IQ and our own questionnaires to suppliers.

Demonstrated progress

Using the EcoVadis ratings platform and EV-IQ Plus platform, we now have visibility into the sustainability performance (and labour & human rights performance) of more than 500 suppliers and potential ESG risk for over 7,000 suppliers. As a result, total procurement spend with a supplier who has a valid EcoVadis medal increased to 44% for FY 2024/25.

Reported risks and mitigations

  • Risk: Child labour related to supply chains in mining.
  • Area: Within your supply chains
  • Tier: Don't know
  • Group: Children
  • Mitigation: JM has identified human rights risks among suppliers, but further assessment is needed to confirm links to mining. Our policies, purchasing terms and conditions and supplier code of conduct explicitly prohibit child labour, and our screening tool EcoVardis IQ screens high risk human rights organisations.
  • Risk: Sourcing minerals from conflict regions
  • Group: Women Migrants Refugees Children
  • Location: China South Africa
  • Mitigation: JM sources from conflict-affected and high-risk areas but only from suppliers who meet Responsible Minerals Initiative due diligence standards.

PSC records are company-filed public-register information. When the exact same displayed individual name occurs at multiple companies, BritDB offers a non-indexed cross-reference page. It is a name match only, not proof that the records describe the same person. Service addresses and partial dates of birth are deliberately omitted.

10 Charity register

Charity Commission links

Snapshot 25 August 2026
CCEW

No exact company-number link in this snapshot

The Charity Commission extract did not explicitly associate this Companies House number with a charity. BritDB does not use a name-only match to fill the gap.

i

This company-level check covers the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Links are accepted only when the official extract supplies this exact company registration number. Scottish charities now have separate OSCR profiles, but OSCR’s bulk fields do not provide a Companies House number, so BritDB does not infer a company link.

CCNI

No unambiguous company-number link found

The CCNI source number did not resolve uniquely to this Companies House record. BritDB did not use a name or address match.

CCNI publishes company numbers without a jurisdiction prefix. BritDB links only when the plausible padded UK and NI candidates resolve to exactly one Companies House company.
