• Risk: Agency fees - used in Asia. To address this issue, zero recruitment fee policies were introduced, along with a programme of renumeration for those workers affected.

• Risk: Social insurance payment - China, some workers did not have the full social insurance under the factory as payments were already being made under a rural scheme; in China workers cannot pay into both.

• Mitigation: This issue actually affects both men and women. This is due to some workers paying rural cooperative medical insurance at their homes, and therefore, are unable to pay social insurance into both rural and factory schemes. This is currently being addressed through updated governmental guidelines.
