• Risk: During the consolidated fiscal year 2024, we engaged in dialogue with 21 suppliers in Japan based on the results from the questionnaire issued the previous year.

• Mitigation: The Meiji Group established the Meiji Group Supplier Code of Conduct in accordance with the Meiji Group Procurement Policy to ensure that our Group and our suppliers fulfill our social responsibilities, including the prohibition of slave labor and human trafficking. Last fiscal year, we worked to promote awareness and understanding by providing explanations concerning this Supplier Code of Conduct to the suppliers in Japan and obtain statements of acknowledgement from said suppliers.

• Mitigation: In the Republic of Ghana, where there is a high risk of child labor, we promoted initiatives aimed at eliminating child labor by adopting the Child Labor Monitoring and Remediation Systems (CLMRS) developed by the International Cocoa Initiative, an NPO working to eliminate child labor and forced labor in cocoa-producing regions.
