Demonstrated progress

We demonstrate progress via KPIs and ongoing review of our risk management activities; including the proportion of Tier 1 suppliers that have been assessed against risk criteria, and the completion rate of awareness training among employees. We also monitor the use of grievance and whistleblowing channels and record any concerns raised and actions taken. We aim to increase supplier engagement, improve coverage of supplier risk assessments, and for all staff to complete training.

• Mitigation: While we do not have direct control over these suppliers, we seek to mitigate this risk by setting expectations for our Tier 1 suppliers through contractual requirements and a Supplier Code of Conduct.
• Risk: Self-employed or subcontracted delivery drivers in the UK, where payment structures may create dependency or financial pressure.

• Mitigation: We recognise that delivery drivers engaged via third-party platforms may be vulnerable to exploitation. If staff observe indicators of distress or potential exploitation, they are encouraged to report these concerns internally so that they may be assessed and, where appropriate, referred to the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline or the relevant platform.

• Mitigation: We recognise that higher-risk supply chains may exist in certain sectors and geographies where labour-intensive production, migrant labour, and weaker regulatory environments are present. While we do not have direct control over Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers, we mitigate these risks through supplier due diligence, contractual requirements, and a risk-based approach to monitoring. We also seek to ensure that our Tier 1 suppliers cascade appropriate standards throughout their own supply chains.
