• Mitigation: In 2024, we established an Indigenous Advisory committee of community leaders, to provide guidance, insight and cultural perspectives to Drax in matter relating to Indigenous People/s relations, community engagement and social responsibility. We also developed a Reconciliation Action Plan, detailing our 17 commitments to building respectful and meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities.

• Mitigation: Within our Ethical Due Dilligence processes we have progressed several enhancements such as strengthening our Self Assessment Questionnaires (to incorporate more key data points relating to modern slavery) to gain greater transparency of the risks within our supply chain tiers.

• Mitigation: 98.6% of all woody biomass received at Drax Power Station is SBP certified. SBP is an independently run certification body for woody biomass (mostly in the form of wood pellets and wood chips) used in industrial, large-scale production of biomass for electricity generation. SBP proactively encourages the adoption of standards and due diligence processes, which include the promotion of human rights. Suppliers must satisfy requirements, including those aligned with modern slavery due diligence.
