Setting targets to include increasing supplier compliance rates, enhancing employee awareness and reporting mechanisms, reducing risks within specific regions or tiers of our supply chains, and achieving industry certifications or accreditations related to responsible sourcing.

• Mitigation: All of our subcontractors are carefully vetted and expected to achieve at least the same standard that Engenda holds itself to with regards to working practices.
• Risk: Workers supplied through recruitment agencies could be subject to deceptive recruitment practices, withheld documentation, unfair deductions, or restricted freedom of movement.

• Mitigation: We have reduced our reliance on third party suppliers of labour by bringing this function in house. We only use reputable agencies, who can demonstrate their commitments to avoiding modern slavery in all its forms.
• Risk: The construction sector has a history of using transient labour / mobile workforce which could present a heightened risk profile.

• Mitigation: All people employed are subject to robust pre‑employment checks, including right‑to‑work verification and confirmation of employment terms. We require that wages, working hours, and conditions are clearly communicated and compliant with applicable legislation and industry standards.
