Payment terms changed

Following a review to align and standardise global payment practices, our standard payment terms for EU suppliers operating on an ad hoc purchase order basis are 90 days. Different payment terms apply in defined circumstances, including for smaller suppliers in the UK and Ireland, who operate on 60-day payment terms with daily payment runs, for food and agricultural product suppliers in the EU, and where alternative payment terms have been contractually agreed.

How suppliers were notified

Suppliers were notified at the time of raising a PO.

Reported terms and dispute process
  1. Standard payment terms

Standard payment terms for smaller suppliers are generally 60 days, with daily payment runs. For larger suppliers, we generally agree 90 day payment terms with fortnightly payment runs, unless alternative contractual arrangements are expressly mutually agreed. Our reported data reflects a mix of payment terms across both smaller and larger suppliers. Payment terms are just one element of how we work with suppliers, and we are committed to fair, responsible and transparent payment practices.

  2. Other payment-term information

A preferential Supplier Financing facility is available to our suppliers. This arrangement enables payment to suppliers earlier than standard or contracted payment terms.

  3. Dispute resolution process

Supplier payment issues that arise in the first instance are addressed by the shared financial services team. Depending on the issue, procurement team colleagues may be involved to resolve any disputes or issues via the Diageo internal dispute resolution process. Suppliers may raise any questions/requests via the Supplier Service Hub and that is directed to the relevant team for prompt resolution.

PSC records are company-filed public-register information. When the exact same displayed individual name occurs at multiple companies, BritDB offers a non-indexed cross-reference page. It is a name match only, not proof that the records describe the same person. Service addresses and partial dates of birth are deliberately omitted.

Charity Commission links

Snapshot 25 August 2026
CCEW

No exact company-number link in this snapshot

The Charity Commission extract did not explicitly associate this Companies House number with a charity. BritDB does not use a name-only match to fill the gap.

i

This company-level check covers the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Links are accepted only when the official extract supplies this exact company registration number. Scottish charities now have separate OSCR profiles, but OSCR’s bulk fields do not provide a Companies House number, so BritDB does not infer a company link.

CCNI

No unambiguous company-number link found

The CCNI source number did not resolve uniquely to this Companies House record. BritDB did not use a name or address match.

CCNI publishes company numbers without a jurisdiction prefix. BritDB links only when the plausible padded UK and NI candidates resolve to exactly one Companies House company.

No exact link is not sanctions clearance. UK restrictions can apply through ownership or control even where an entity is not separately named. Always use the current official list and obtain appropriate advice for a legally significant decision.
