Payment terms changed

A deferral scheme was offered by some wholesalers during the year as a temporary measure for retailers to help manage increased wholesale costs during the first 3 months of FY26. Under this scheme a portion of 14 invoices had deferred terms, all of which were paid in line with terms. This reporting period included 1 payment under this scheme.

Reported terms and dispute process
  1. Standard payment terms

Our standard payment terms are 30 days. Our wholesale payments are paid in accordance with market terms.

  2. Other payment-term information

Of the payments made during the reporting period, 13% were not paid within terms. Excluding invoices in query or those in dispute this reduces to 3% (Sep 2025: 4% to 2%). Paid within terms decreased marginally to 97% (Sep 2025: 98%). Due to a technical issue, two invoices totalling £3.8million were paid one day late which significantly increased the value of late payments in the period.

  3. Dispute resolution process

Our Accounts Payable team keep track of any disputes daily. A full list is escalated to Heads of Departments weekly to progress resolution.

Demonstrated progress

In our statement each year we explain what we have done to demonstrate progress and we set out what our key next steps will be. We have a number of KPIs we measure and monitor accross our Supply Chain and our business which provides confidence with our performance.

Reported risks and mitigations

  • Risk: Workers in our outsourced back office in India
  • Area: Within your supply chains
  • Tier: Tier 1 suppliers
  • Group: Migrants Refugees
  • Location: India
  • Mitigation: We closely monitor any changes with individuals working on our account. When on site we review their HR policies and procedures, periodically we review the team associated with the work, their employment status and working conditions.
  • Risk: Temporary workers on our Meter Reading Service contract in peak demand times.
  • Group: Other vulnerable groups
  • Location: United Kingdom
  • Mitigation: We monitor the meter readers assigned to our account. Periodically we request any updates to their employment and conditions and adherence to our Anti-Slavery Policy.
  • Risk: Supply of temporary workers for our contact center
  • Area: Within your own operations
  • Mitigation: We have an approved set of Agencies which are used when an Agency approach is required for recruitment. To become an approved agency due diligence is carried out to ensure they are reputable and have a zero tolerance to Modern Slavery. As all of our key suppliers are required to do is periodically they need to confirm compliance to our policies and provide any changes to their processes.

PSC records are company-filed public-register information. When the exact same displayed individual name occurs at multiple companies, BritDB offers a non-indexed cross-reference page. It is a name match only, not proof that the records describe the same person. Service addresses and partial dates of birth are deliberately omitted.

09 Charity register

Charity Commission links

Snapshot 25 August 2026
CCEW

No exact company-number link in this snapshot

The Charity Commission extract did not explicitly associate this Companies House number with a charity. BritDB does not use a name-only match to fill the gap.

i

This company-level check covers the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Links are accepted only when the official extract supplies this exact company registration number. Scottish charities now have separate OSCR profiles, but OSCR’s bulk fields do not provide a Companies House number, so BritDB does not infer a company link.
