Container provision, haulage and reprocessing/recycling of cardboard, paper and mixed papers from Warwickshire Household Waste Recycling Centres

This is a voluntary notice. The procurement was for a below threshold concession contract. Warwickshire County Council was seeking a Supplier who could provide containers, along with a collection/haulage and a reprocessing/recycling service for cardboard, paper and mixed papers (Goods) arising from Warwickshire County Council Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs). The Supplier will provide the Services and pay the Concession Fee for the Goods (cardboard, paper and mixed papers) referred to in the Invitation to Tender from the Contract Commencement Date and on the terms and conditions set out in the Contract documentation. The initial contract term will commence on 1st November and will be for a period of 3 years (36 months). However, the Council reserves the right to extend the contract by further periods not exceeding 24 months. This means the maximum possible Contract term is 5 years (60 months) in total. Full details were provided in the ITT and Contract. Please note while the estimated total value of the concession at II.1.7 has been stated at £1.5 million this is an anticipated figure to allow for changes in the volume of the Goods (cardboard, paper and mixed papers) and market fluctuations. We estimate the actual value over the 5 year period to be closer to £1 million based on historical values and tonnages.
