Description
This service is for Short breaks to alleviate pressure on families struggling to cope with children and young people with very intensive medical support needs. Benefits of this service includes avoidance of section 20 care and reduction of young people brought into care due to their families being unable to cope. Parents / carers often experience severe mental and physical health consequences stemming from caring responsibilities which are intensive and onerous. This service is intended to bolster support and protect families from being unable to cope and needing to rely on council services / hospitals to look after children.
