Description

The Trust requires full design services up to RIBA Stage 4 for the construction of a new Linac bunker at Musgrove Park Hospital to support the 2028 Linac replacement programme and ensure uninterrupted radiotherapy services. The design must include associated patient areas such as reception, waiting, changing, and recovery spaces, and consider the feasibility of incorporating a new inpatient haematology ward to replace Ward 9, either integrated with or located nearby. The scope also includes advice on construction methods, including potential interim and permanent solutions aligned with wider site development plans, and provision of all necessary building services-heating, cooling, water, medical gases, power, and data-meeting clinical standards. All designs must comply with relevant HTMs and Trust policies.
