Description

Bath and North East Somerset Preventing Worklessness and Improving Financial Wellbeing services support approximately 40 clients per quarter, including those on the Supported Housing Pathway, low-income households, and individuals with mental health needs. The service provides financial literacy training, debt management, benefits access, employment support, and assistance with the Passport to Housing process, fostering independence and reducing homelessness risks. The service addresses critical needs in B&NES, where pockets of deprivation, contribute to financial instability and housing challenges. The service reduces pressure on B&NES housing, NHS, and social care systems by enabling clients to maintain tenancies, manage finances, and engage in employment or education.
