Description
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) has procured a Cycle Hangar Rental and Maintenance Service to support its policy objectives in relation to air quality improvement, climate action, reduced traffic congestion, and the promotion of active travel. The borough currently operates a network of 96 cycle hangars providing secure on‐street bicycle storage for residents, with planned expansion to approximately 221 hangars by March 2028. The contract covers the provision of a fully managed service, including the installation (where required), rental administration, maintenance, inspection, and repair of all existing and future Council‐owned cycle hangars across the borough. The Council has appointed a single supplier to deliver this service under a contract with an initial term of three years, with options to extend for up to three additional one‐year periods (3+1+1+1).
