Description

The University of South Wales (USW) operates a multi-campus network environment that underpins critical teaching, learning, research, and business services across Treforest, Glyntaff, Cardiff, and Newport. The network includes a modern software-defined access infrastructure, enterprise wireless, security platforms, and a monitoring capability used to maintain performance, availability, and operational assurance. USW requires additional specialist capability to support day-to-day network operations, maintain service stability, and provide structured oversight across core BAU tasks. This requirement also supports the development of internal capability through training and mentorship of junior engineers, student placements, and graduates. The supplier will work closely with the USW Network team to support operational delivery, maintain compliance with service processes, and contribute to proactive monitoring, fault resolution, controlled change, and continuous improvement.
