Description
Guildford Borough Council (GBC) is inviting quotations for the supply and installation of workshop and MOT bay equipment at a new depot facility. As part of a borough-wide regeneration programme, the existing depot on Woking Road is being redeveloped for housing, with a new purpose-built site currently under construction at Slyfield Industrial Estate. The depot will accommodate the Council’s key frontline services, including waste and recycling, street cleaning, housing repairs (supporting Council-owned properties), a vehicle workshop, and a central stores area for building materials. A separate storage area will also be provided for the Museum. The new depot represents a significant improvement for staff, bringing office-based and operational teams together in a modern, purpose-built facility. Construction is expected to complete in July 2026, with furniture, equipment installation and commissioning anticipated around September 2026, following snagging.
