Description

United Utilities (UU) has several regulatory obligations across multiple work packages, including: • Full peatland survey and resurvey programmes, including condition assessments and vegetation surveys. • Production of restoration plans, including scoping, mapping, prescriptions, phasing and cost estimation. • Planning, permissions and procurement, covering SSSI consents, landowner liaison, and contractor oversight. • Direct oversight of restoration work, including remedial works on sites previously restored by UU and partners. • Carbon assessments and Peatland Code calculations, supporting carbon accounting and investment readiness. • Specialist monitoring, including water table loggers, peat depth, surface flow, water storage, grazing impacts, and drone surveys.
