Description
The purpose of this request is to gauge the availability and viability of next generation vehicles to carry out seasonal treatment activities on the UK railway. Currently, a fleet of 32x MPVs carry out leaf busting duties in Autumn, de-icing duties in Winter, and weed spraying duties in Summer. This fleet of vehicles was introduced to the network around 1999/2000 and are now in an end-of-life maintenance regime due to increasing cost of maintenance, obsolescence of parts and reliability concerns
