Description
Guildford Borough Council and Waverley Borough Council wish to appoint a Clerk of Works (CoW), who shall act as an independent quality assurance representative across a range of housing and regeneration projects. The CoW shall inspect, monitor, and report on the quality of design implementation, workmanship, materials, and compliance with the relevant contract, statutory duties, local authority policies, and good industry practice. The objective is to achieve safe, durable, defect‑free buildings. The CoW's role will span multiple projects of varying scale, appointed via individual call‑off instructions under this 4‑year framework. The CoW shall work collaboratively with the Council's teams-Housing, Regeneration, Building Safety, Asset Management, and Capital Delivery-while maintaining full independence from contractors.
