Description
Cardiff Council's Lamby Way site operates with an 8.95MW capacity solar farm situated on an ex landfill site. The Lamby Way Solar farm generates renewable energy for the authority and is a source of income generation for the authority. The site at Lamby Way comprises approximately 41 Ha of land which has previously been used for landfill waste disposal. Landfill operations were ceased on the area approximately 17 years ago and the area was capped with an impermeable membrane and around 800mm of topsoil. Cardiff Council are therefore looking to procure a suitable contractor to undertake the operation and maintenance activities of the Lamby Way Solar Farm for a period of 48 months.
