Description
Durham County Council (DCC) is exploring the potential to undertake a future procurement exercise to appoint a third-party provider for the delivery and management of the existing digital advertising infrastructure across the county, comprising of 15 double sided bus shelter units. The council would also like to understand through this process whether there is appetite for suppliers to expand on the existing network, by transforming existing DCC non-digital advertising sites into digital. As part of any future contract, it is anticipated that: • All existing digital sites included in the contract would require the installation of replacement bus shelters by the contract commencement date, funded entirely by the appointed contractor. • The design and specification of all shelters would be subject to approval by a designated DCC officer. • Any new or additional digital advertising sites (beyond the existing 15) would be subject to obtaining the necessary planning permissions. Responsibility for funding, preparing, and submitting planning applications would rest with the contractor.
