Description

An urgent award was made under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) to Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to provide patient transport support between the labour ward and maternity ward following the unplanned failure of two lifts. The loss of lift access created a significant risk to patient safety and staff, necessitating immediate mitigation to maintain safe and continuous clinical operations. The service was required on a temporary basis from 31/05/2026 to 11/06/2026, ensuring the safe movement of patients while lift functionality was restored.
