Description

This Educational Psychologist (EP) provision will support the delivery of early intervention and assessment activity for Early Years children where additional specialist assessment is required to better understand and identify needs prior to consideration of statutory processes. The work will involve close collaboration with SEND SS Early Years Advisory Teachers to assess children’s strengths, needs and support requirements within their educational settings. Educational Psychologists will undertake joint work that typically includes observation, consultation with parents, educational settings and relevant professionals, and the production of written assessment reports and recommendations. This provision supports a pool of pre-EHCP assessments intended to identify needs at an earlier stage and inform appropriate support and intervention planning.
