Description

The existing provider has fully satisfied the original contract which was put in place at the time of Covid-19 and is expected to deliver the proposed contract to a sufficient standard (100%)

Since then, the pioneering model has evolved beyond Covid-19 to treat patients with heart failure, COPD, and acute respiratory infections.

The virtual hospital uses the latest technology to track the condition of a patient remotely. It can alert the hospital team if it is necessary to increase the level of care. This enables people to stay in the comfort of their own homes whilst saving valuable NHS bed space.
