Description

Associated British Ports (ABP) is the UK's largest ports group, operating 21 ports across the UK and handling approximately one quarter of the nation's seaborne trade. ABP is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Principal Contractor to deliver a landside infrastructure project at the Port of Southampton. The project comprises the construction of a multi-deck vehicle parking facility and associated infrastructure works, including civil engineering, utilities, drainage, highways, and external works. The works will be undertaken within a live operational environment and require strong programme, stakeholder, and interface management capabilities. ABP intends to procure the works through a Competitive Flexible Procedure under the Procurement Act 2023. The procurement will be conducted in two stages: 1. Conditions of Participation Stage (PSQ) 2. Invitation to Tender (ITT) Stage The Conditions of Participation stage will assess suppliers' capability, capacity, relevant experience, financial standing, health and safety arrangements, and overall suitability to deliver projects of a similar scale and complexity. Suppliers will be expected to demonstrate successful delivery of comparable building and infrastructure projects, particularly those undertaken within operationally constrained or complex environments. The PSQ documentation will be issued via the ABP procurement portal. Only suppliers meeting the Conditions of Participation requirements will be invited to participate in the ITT stage. This notice serves to notify the market of the commencement of the procurement process and invite interested suppliers to participate.
