Description
Lincoln Museum, which first opened in 2005, is Lincolnshire’s main archaeological museum, and tells the story of the inhabitants of Lincolnshire through the material evidence they left behind, from the earliest human occupation from the Stone Age to the end of the 17th century. The archaeological collection is of both national and international significance, and displays are drawn from antiquarian and casual finds alongside project archives deposited from both commercial and research archaeological investigations across the county. The gallery also features smaller displays of geological and palaeontological collections.
