Description
This project will update Dealroom’s 2024 analysis of the UK battery innovation landscape to provide a current, data-driven snapshot of the sector in 2026. Covering the full battery value chain, the refreshed study will assess industry developments, identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities, and benchmark the UK’s global competitiveness. The insights generated will support the design of the 2026–2030 Battery Innovation Programme, helping to target investment more effectively and align activities with net zero, industrial strategy, and economic growth goals. Updated evidence base: Refreshes the 2024 dataset to reflect major changes in investment, company growth, and market dynamics. Strategic decision-making: Provides actionable insights to shape the 2026–2030 Battery Innovation Programme and funding priorities. Strengthening UK competitiveness: Identifies opportunities and challenges across the battery ecosystem to support innovation, scale-up, and the energy transition.
