Description
This new contract will provide additional supervised toothbrushing capacity to expand the supervised toothbrushing programme that already exists across Nottingham City. The contract will expand delivery to 100% of children in early years settings (aged 3-5 years), focusing on those in the most deprived communities (IMD1 and 2). The supervised toothbrushing programme is a fun and educational initiative to be delivered in early years settings across Nottingham. It helps children aged 3 to 5 learn how to brush their teeth properly with fluoride toothpaste, forming healthy habits that can last a lifetime. Early Years settings will be provided with fluoride toothpaste and age-appropriate toothbrushes, and be guided by trained staff to ensure safe and effective brushing. The programme ensures that children brush their teeth once a day in the setting.
