Description

The Mining Remediation Authority (MRA) and The British Geological Survey (BGS) have entered into a Horizontal Agreement in support of the response and remediation work at the Coalsnaughton Incident. This UK7 is to advertise this agreement. BGS will provide independent geological, geotechnical and hydrogeological expertise to support the MRA's Phase 2 investigation into the Coalsnaughton ground movement incident. The contract will build upon the geological assessment completed during Phase 1 and provide continuity of specialist knowledge throughout the detailed investigation phase and develop a shared understanding of the Geological movement which supports the missions of both organisations.
