Statement supplied with the official record

We were disappointed by the Food Hygiene Rating awarded following this inspection.

The conditions found at the time of the inspection were not typical of the normal conditions maintained at the establishment and arose because, the inspection took place immediately following the Bank Holiday weekend, during a busy period. Whilst these circumstances placed additional pressure on the business, the issues noted were not representative of the standards we strive to maintain and anyone knowing us, knows we strive to achieve a high standard at all times.

We have taken the inspection seriously and used it as an opportunity to carry out a comprehensive review of our food safety management systems. Working alongside our independent food safety consultant, we have reviewed our HACCP system, strengthened our management processes and introduced additional controls to help ensure our standards are maintained consistently across all areas of the business.

We have applied for and are now awaiting a re inspection and look forward to welcoming the Environmental Health Officer back to demonstrate the high standards we are committed to maintaining and hopefully raise our Food Hygiene Rating

The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests remain our highest priority. We are fully committed to providing a safe dining experience, maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and continually improving our food safety systems.
