- Valentina Vasilyevna LAVRIK is an 'involved person' under the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulation 2019 because she is or has been involved in an action which destabilises Ukraine or undermines or threatens the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine by (1) engaging in and providing support for the Government of Russia’s programme for the forced deportation and re-education of Ukrainian children; and (2) obtaining a benefit from or supporting the Government of Russia by working as a director of a Government of Russia-affiliated entity, namely as the Minister of Education, Science and Youth for occupied Crimea.
