- The worker was coming back from the welfare facilities to the sorting line on site, Their journey saw them passing through a small gap between the safety barrier and the weighbridge platform, the route bypassed the safety path which is positioned around the edge of the weighbridge scale choosing instead to walk directly across the weighbridge scale, there was a Roll on-off vehicle reversing in this area that has made contact with the worker, leading to a fatality occurring as result on the impact with the vehicle. A full investigation is still underway being conducted by various parties and this RIDDOR report will be updated once more information on the matter is understood.
